Auberge des Vieux-Chênes - Geneva - RestaurantOnce upon a time there was l'Auberge des Vieux-Chênes, a family-run inn in Presinge, a small agricultural community on the left bank of Lake Geneva. Guests are welcomed into a bucolic setting where they can savour the generous and tasty cooking of the region.

It is forty years since Josiane Dubrit and her husband René Peney set up this country inn. Twenty years later, their son, Eric Dubrit, became committed to perpetuating his father's plats «terroir» (local dishes), such as longeole genevoise (Genevan sausages), terrine de foie de volaille aux cornes d'abondance (chicken liver and mushroom terrine), cochonnaille traditionnelle (traditional pork products) in February, pot-au-feu froid ravigote estival (cold summery pot-au-feu with shallots and herbs) and the famous pommes de terre rissolées (browned potatoes).

In addition to these traditional dishes are several prepared delicacies, such as souris d'agneau confite au citron (confit lamb knuckle with lemon), travers de porc laqué (glazed pork ribs) and ris de veau (calves' sweetbreads). L'Auberge des Vieux-Chênes also has its «essentials» such as pavé de boeuf aux appétits, le carré d'agneau (rack of lamb) and minutes de boeuf (minute steak).

The seasonal suggestions menu comprises fresh local products, as well as various fish from Lake Geneva. In autumn, it is hunting that delights its enthusiasts.

Among the many "house" desserts, the team of chefs calls on tarts of seasonal fruits and pastries of red fruits, chestnuts, etc.

To accompany your meal, we usually suggest vintages mainly from Genevan vineyards, either by the glass or by the bottle.

The premises include a bistro and a dining room with a maximum capacity of 50 people. L'Auberge des Vieux-Chênes can also cater for banquets, anniversaries and birthdays, family meals and corporate meals.

During the summer, there is a large shady terrace available. there is also an outdoor play area to keep your children happy.

And if you want to stretch your legs at the end of your meal, the Centre Horticole de Lullier, the Poney Club and the neighbouring woods are close by.
